? Photoshop inquiry...
Hi everyone! Things are still going well w/Keira! We really couldn't be happier. Quinn is teething...2 yr. molars - wow...what a painful time this is for him! He ran a good fever both Fri. and Sat. night - and has been quite restless - he's had quite a few naps/nights w/mom and dad...not really sure what else to do for him. Tried pain killers - and even Benedryll just for a good night sleep last night...nothing seems to be helping. Any ideas are welcomed! Speaking of ideas - trying to learn more about photoshop software. Does anyone have it? Drop me an email - would love to talk to you about it... geninec@hotmail.com Halloween is just around the corner - getting ready to carve our pumpkins - and for our party!! A few friends and their kids will be over for a bit that day - can't wait to see the little ones in their costumes!! We'll be sure to take pictures and send them along for you to see. Some great news!
Keira has been off of Reglan for 4 days and is doing great!!! It came about in an unsettling way - basically we found out there can be some bad side effects. Rare - but not what you'd like to happen. Too long of a story to get into all of the details, but it can produce Parkinson like symptoms - drug induced of course, but inconsistent data on whether they always go away once the drug is stopped. A bit scary - ok a lot scary!! Spoke w/ her Dr. about how uncomfortable we were - and he ok'd her coming off of it. Again - too much to the story to get into it all - we're happy and she's doing great. Her Prevacid script was also cut in half about a week ago - so all wonderful signs! Still seeing the chiropractor - amazing that Keira can be fussing, and within a few minutes she's relaxed and quiet...I really didn't know anything about that field until all of this began - very interesting! |

yyyiiipppeeee!!!!
Keira had her 2 mo. check up yesterday and gained 11oz. in a week!!! Dr. Brand was very happy - as was I!!! The nurse probably thinks I'm a bit kooky - as I cheered..(yes outloud) when she reported 10lbs.11oz. - this puts her back up into the 50-75 percentile for weight. She was 22 " long - 50th percentile , and 25th percentile for head size. My kids will never be able to find hats that fit them right...agh poor things...that comes from me!!! The only down side of her apt. was that she had 4 shots...ouch!! I don't know how they don't hit the bone...the needles are soooo long. Speaking of - any thoughts on "to vaccinate" or "not to vaccinate". ? She's doing great - happy and smiling!!! We love it. |

still doing well...
Well Keira is still doing well!!! The small adjustment to the Reglan seems to have brought her "swallowing" back under control - she smiling and cooing...and despite his yells very close to her ears - even smiles and looks for Quinn!
Sleep in our house is another issue. It's like two different worlds at times - two nights ago - Quinn slept through without a peep - and Keira slept for 6 1/2 hrs. her first shot, and then another 2. Last night...how to even start! Basically I got Keira down @ 10 - Quinn was up screaming @ 12 - got him back down - Keira was up to eat @ 2 - she didn't resettled well - so up on and off until 5 ish - Quinn up before 6 screaming - again @ 6:45.......YEAH IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!
Pictures with this one are some I've been working on. In my very few spare minutes, I'm trying to work with my camera and photography skills...enjoy.

hangin' in there...
A few pictures I thought you would like! Keira had a weight check today - she's only gained 5 oz. over the last almost 2 wks...very surprising to me, and quite disappointing. However, her Dr. said he believes she's doing fine - happier, and gaining weight. He believes some of it may be her genetic disposition...some of it her reflux. Past few days she hadn't eaten as well - more swallowing, and more irritable than she had been. So - we went in just to stay on top of things. By no means was she acting any where near how she was - a good sign. He adjusted her one medication (Reglan) to her new weight, and we'll see him for her full 2 month check up next week. He assured me that he does not anticipate, nor should there be a set back to the point we started from . Hard to trust that I guess - it really has been a difficult time. But, I'm trying to take deep breaths...be confident and hopeful that she will continue to do well, and outgrow this. She's changing so much - more and more people say she really is starting to look like her big brother! Speaking of - what a smart boy I have...he knows when mommy is busy and he can get away with things....aaaggghhh the terrible two's. If we keep him stimulated, he tends to do better - loves "mowing" - he also gets in his red car and says "BYE" - he's going to work and will be back soon. When asked - he says he "Picks apples" for work....cute hu???
love to you all - genine
